IMCD buys Italian food ingredients distributor Nutrivis
IMCD has acquired of Italian distributor of speciality food ingredients Nutrivis. The merger of the two companies is expected in May 2012, following which all the employees of Nutrivis will transfer to IMCD Italia.
IMCD Italia managing director Gabriele Bonomi said that Nutrivis brings extensive experience in the Italian speciality food & ingredients market.
"The company's impressive portfolio from reputable international suppliers and its 250-strong customer base offer exciting synergistic opportunities to the IMCD Group," Bonomi added.
IMCD's Food and Nutrition Business Group offers recipe, application and processing solutions for the following market segments: bakery, beverages, confectionery, dairy, edible oils and fats, fruits and vegetables, nutrition, savory, food ingredient manufacturers and animal nutrition.
